New in our assortment we know offer the matching towbar for Skoda Kodiaq. The SUV has come to the market in 03/2017 and fascinates with its sporty design and high comfort standards. Using the matching towbar the Skoda can easily be retrofitted and be turned into a towing vehicle.

Our detachable towbar is handled by the use of a twist grip and can be detached easily at any time. When fitting it automatically locks. The term check controll is omnipresent, especially when it comes to the electronics of a car. But what does the term stand for and what does it mean? The surveillance of the lamps and their proper functioning is labelled as check controll system, the system is part of the vehicle’s on-board electronics. It serves as a controlling mechanism of different vehicle’s functions, part of those are the full beam, stop lights and rear fog-lamps. If these lights and lamps fail, the driver is informed due to the systems optical indications. Hence, the indications can also be digital informations of the board computer.

What must be payed attention to concerning vehicles‘ check controll?

A vehicle’s electronics are not only complicated but also finely calibrated, therefore, even small interventions can have a huge impact. For vehicle’s which entail check controll the electrical kit must hence be conceptualized in a way that ensures the tap of the lighting functions before the lamp test device takes place.

A different solution is to use an electrical kit with a special trailer control device, where lamp currents are generated for the trailer from the vehicle battery out. Incidentally, such a cable set is also strongly recommended for vehicles with too small cable cross-sections (<0.752). We already pay close attention to this when designing and developing our electrical kits. So you just have to make sure when buying that the electrical kit is suitable for vehicles with check-control.

Our electric kits, which are fitted with a trailer control unit of the MVG-Type 4112, are ideally suited for vehicles with check-control and / or with insufficient cable cross-sections (<0.752). You also benefit from the following product advantages:

The FIAT Fullback is a popular model among the pick ups and it unites a smart design, good comfort and much space. The model is also well suited for trailer drives , in order to start your trailer ride directly, retrofitting a matching towbar is needed.

We offer not only a detachable towbar but also a fixed towbar with an exchangeable plate system. Due to the different plates you are flexible and can easily change from the fixed towbar to an open-end towbar. Changing as well as handling the different towbars can easily be done via lever.

The term CAN data bus stands for the words Controller Area Network. If a vehicle is equipped with a modern CAN data bus, the information exchange within the on-board network of the vehicle does not take place as usual in analog, but instead in a digital way. If you want to use the system of the CAN bus, for example, to reduce assembly costs, the electrical kit must also have a CAN trailer control unit. Only then can all lighting functions required in trailer operation be functionally controlled.

The assembly of the electrical kit should be done best in the workshop, as some vehicles require an activation of the vehicle electronics for trailer operation.

You should also pay attention to this with the CAN data bus

It is important for you that you first make sure that your car has a CAN data bus. If this is the case, you must always make sure when buying the electrical kit that this has a corresponding suspension module. Make sure that a universal electrical kit can not be used on vehicles with CAN and that you are well advised by the sellers.

The Mitsubishi L200 model comes along quiet strong as a pick-up and offers not only enough space for transportation of any kind but also functions well as a towing vehicle. Due to retrofitting, the Mitsubishi can easily be turned into a towing vehicle using the matching towbar to support it.
